Big Purple Capture

Big Purple Capture

Event live streaming and video.

Live streaming, event filming, brand films, conference recordings, post-event content.

—  Video / Livestream

The video and livestream studio inside the Group.

Big Purple Capture is the video and livestream studio inside Big Purple Group. We launched in May 2020, the lockdown month, when our clients suddenly needed virtual events, livestream platforms, and a way to keep talking to their audiences when nobody could be in the room. We figured it out under pressure. The work didn’t stop, and we kept going.

Capture now runs across three kinds of work: live streaming and event filming for events the Group is already producing; brand films and corporate video commissioned independently; and conference content: the keynote clips, board montages and highlight reels that comms teams reuse for months after the event.

—  What we make / shoot

Live, filmed, edited — in-house.

Live Streaming

Multi-camera livestream production

Multi-camera livestream production for conferences, AGMs, awards nights, town halls, training events, and brand events with both a room and a remote audience. Vision mixing, broadcast graphics, livestream platform integration, two-way Q&A, recording for on-demand.

The livestream is part of the production plan from the kick-off. The AV team’s IMAG signal and Capture’s broadcast feed share infrastructure where they should and run separately where they shouldn’t.

Brand Films & Corporate Video

Brand films and corporate video

Brand films, manifestos, recruitment videos, internal comms films, customer testimonials, product films, founder stories. Scripted or interview-led. Filmed on location, in studio, or in a green-screen room. Edited in-house.

Brand films are Capture’s standalone work, commissioned without an event attached. The brief, the script, the shoot and the edit happen with the same team.

Event Filming

Event filming and conference recording

Multi-camera filming of conferences, awards, AGMs, panel discussions and brand events. Clean recording for on-demand, keynote clips for LinkedIn, the board montage, the training video for next year, and the highlight reel that earns next year’s budget.

Hybrid

Hybrid event production

Events with half the audience in the room and half on Zoom, Teams or a livestream platform. Capture handles the broadcast feed, platform integration, remote Q&A, moderation, on-screen graphics, and the recording.

Studio & Post-production

Green screen studio and post-production

A green screen studio at the Gateshead HQ for product films, presenter pieces and virtual-set work. Edit suites, motion graphics design, colour grade and sound mix. All in-house, all on the same floor as the live event team.

—  Process

How a Capture project runs.

From the brief to the final delivery — the same creative lead the whole way through.

01

Brief

The event date or the brand film brief. We come back with a creative lead, any clarifying questions, and a first response before quoting.

02

Pre-production

Script, storyboard, shot list, kit list, crew schedule. For livestreams, the platform integration and broadcast graphics are scoped at this stage. Recce booked if the venue or location warrants it.

03

Filming

Two-camera, three-camera, or full broadcast multi-cam depending on the brief. Crew on site at the agreed call time, ahead of show.

04

Edit and delivery

Edit timeline agreed at brief stage. Faster turnaround on highlight reels, longer for scripted brand films. Final files in the formats your comms team needs: broadcast, LinkedIn, 16:9, 9:16, square, captioned versions for accessibility.

—  Questions

Frequently asked.

Can you film events you’re not also producing?
Yes. Many of our event-filming briefs come in standalone — Capture is hired as the video studio while another company runs the AV. We work alongside event producers, AV companies and venue teams routinely.
Do you offer livestream-only services?
Yes. We can supply the camera package, vision mix, livestream platform integration and broadcast crew for events where you only need the broadcast layer. The pricing model adjusts to scope — livestream-only briefs are quoted differently from full-production-with-livestream briefs.
How quickly can you turn around a highlight reel?
A 60-second LinkedIn highlight inside 48 hours of the event ending is achievable for most events when scoped at brief stage. Longer-form edits (3-minute brand films, 5-minute board montages) typically take 1–2 weeks.
Do you offer captioning, subtitling and accessibility versions?
Yes — and we recommend them as standard. Accessibility versions of all deliverables are quoted into the project at brief stage rather than added later.
